You too can make money by being an affiliate. Affiliate marketing is when you help out a merchant by referals. You can post a link or ad on your website, when someone clicks on it, you get paid either by clicks (PPC) or maybe if a referal sells a product or maybe some other way, you need to check with your merchant to find out how. Sometimes there are more levels to the referal system. Such as you work under the merchant as an affiliate and someone works under you as an affiliate. What that means is you make money off of the person under you.
There are companies who merchants go to for help. These companies allow you to sign up and choose the merchant you want to be an affiliate with. Then you need to be approved. They look at your website to see if that is where they want their ads. Some websites are not friendly places to be for their ads. So choose your websites wisely when you build one. Some merchants take care of their own affiliates. To find out more about being an affiliate of your favorite website, look at the top or bottom of pages for " affiliates".

When signing up with a company that has all of these merchants for you to choose from, beware!
I signed up with Clickbank, which is one of those places, as a newbie, not knowing anything. I was shocked to find out if you make some money one month but not another they deduct $5.00 from your earnings. Also you must do something like make sales, buyers must use 4 different credit cards and some other BS before you can even start to earn money you can keep. I almost had $100 one time and the end result is I eneded up with nothing. Zero. You cant force people to buy something using a different credit card. You might have 5 sales from Visa users and none from MasterCard, which means tough luck for you. Please read the rules on how you are to make money from them and you will see for yourself. You can learn the hard way if you want. I did, so never again will I deal with ClickBank.

I am with Shareasale (link below) I dont have any complaints and they have plenty of merchants for your need. Please read all rules when you sign up. Most of them ask that you make $100 first before they will pay you; to me that part is ok. If you would like to join Shareasale so that you too can get ads and banners for your website, Here is the link to join Shareasale. It doesn't cost anything to join. I have never paid a penny and they have never taken any money from me. I recommend them over the alternative.
Oh you can even check out 25 of their over 2500 merchants without joining. Of course once you join, you can view them all. Like I said there is no cost to join and no weirdo ads to entice you. Another thing you might want to think about is if you have a website store or business then you too can be a merchant if that is what you want to do. I have yet to be a merchant so I cannot help you there. This is all legit and a big name company. You'll have to start trusting me as I am not purposely going to lead you a stray.
